    • ANSI B11.0 Safety of Machinery; General Requirements & Risk Assessment
      • Scope: This standard applies to new, modified or rebuilt power driven machines, not portable by hand, used to shape and/or form metal or other materials by cutting, impact, pressure, electrical or other processing techniques, or a combination of these processes. This can be a single machine, a machine tool or a machine tool system(s). Informative Note 1: To improve readability, the terms "machine," "machine tool" or "machine tool system(s)" are used interchangeably throughout the document, either in singular or plural form. Informative Note 2: See 7.15 for a list of example machine tools. Other industry sectors may benefit from applying this standard. Where a machine-specific standard exists and the requirements of that standard conflict with the requirements in this standard, the requirements of the machine-specific standard shall apply. Informative Note: For example, ANSI/RIA R15.06 on safety requirements for robots and robotic systems is a C-level standard that would take precedence over the requirements in this standard.
      • ANSI B11.1 Safety Requirements for Mechanical Power Presses
        • Scope: The requirements of this standard apply only to those mechanically-powered machine tools commonly referred to as mechanical power presses, which transmit force mechanically to cut, form, or assemble metal or other materials by means of tools or dies attached to or operated by slides. Excluded from the requirements of this standard are bulldozers, cold-headers and cold formers, eyelet machines, forging presses and hammers, high-energy-rate presses, hot-bending and hot-metal presses, hydraulic power presses, iron workers and detail punches, metal shears, pneumatic power presses, powdered-metal presses, press welders, power pressure brakes, riveting machines, turret and plate-punch machines, wire terminating machines, and welding presses.

        • Scope: This standard establishes performance criteria for personal fall protection equipment and systems in construction and demolition, and provides guidelines and recommendations for their use and inspection. It includes, but is not limited to, fall arrest, restraint, positioning, climbing, descending, rescue, escape and training activities.         • The ANSI/ASME B30. Construction Package is a complete collection of the ANSI/ASME B30 standard series. The standards are applicable to various cranes, hoist, lifting systems and derricks. The standards for cranes contain provisions to construct, install, operate, inspect, test, maintain and use container, mobile and locomotive, monorails and underhung, overhead and gantry, stacker, portal, tower and pedestal cranes.
